  	On April 8, 1833, Ambrose Snyder Jr. and his wife Aseneth sold approximately 148¼ acres of farmland in Canajoharie, Montgomery County, New York, to Venis Snyder for $500. The property, located on Oak Hill, had previously belonged to Abraham Walradt and was bounded by the lands of David Brewster, Jacob Seeber, Moses Lewis, Agrippa Martin, and Mary Hibbard. The deed was acknowledged in November 1835 and recorded on November 17, 1835. Aseneth was examined separately and confirmed she signed the deed freely.

The property was bounded by roads leading from Springfield to Fort Plain and from Jacox's to Hall's. The land was bounded by James Mark, Moses Lewis, widow Mary Hibbard, John H. Dunlap, Jacob Seeber, and the highway to Springfield Hollow.
