653 | From MyHeritage: Records of births, baptisms, marriages, deaths, burials, and other records kept by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark. Church records are extremely important for Danish research as vital events of virtually every individual who lived in Denmark during the time period covered by this collection were recorded in these parish registers or church books (kirkebøger). The Evangelical Lutheran Church became the official state church in 1536 and as such the Church and its clergy acted as the official arm of the Crown and national government charged with collecting and safeguarding vital records of the Danish population | Source (S78)

654 | From the Poughkeepsie Eagle: The threatened contest in the estate of Ludolph Kaune, late of Wappingers Falls, was withdrawn when the matter came up in the surrogate's court Tuesday morning, and the will was allowed to go to probate. Mr. Kaune was formerly a hotel proprietor at the Falls. In his will he left practically his entire estate to his daughter, Mrs. William Curran, who had lived with him and cared for him. To each of his two sons he left but $50. Frederick, one of the sons, employed Morsehauser & Hayward to look after his interests and a contest was threatened. The papers gave the value of the estate at $6,000, but Mr. Hayward stated Tuesday morning that the estate would not in reality exceed $2,000 and that it was considered that the daughter was entitled to that amount. George Wood was the attorney for the executors | Kaune, Fred Sr (I325)
