Surname Sonkap is a transcription error of Soukup; the original is very faint. Anton, age 56, and Maria, age 54, are married. Anna, age 22, is thought to be Anna Zakovec, the daughter of Maria's first marriage and the future wife of Joseph Hines. Ve{rest torn} is female and is thought to be Veronica Soukup. Maria, age 21, is thought to be Maria Bures, niece of the older Maria Bures, daughter of Vojtech Bures, and future wife of Frank Hines. The missing son Frank Soukup came in 1869 with his stepbrother John Zakovec and his family. Joseph Hines and Frank Hines are brothers and lived in the same village as the Soukups.

«b»Notes:«/b»
The Anna Pudil age 10 listed here is actually Anna Turek. According to family lore and Anna Turek Novak's obituary, she came to America with her Aunt Pudil who is Anna Pudil on this list. The background of Antonie Pudil is unknown. She is too old to be a daughter of Anna Pudil and multiple searches were unable to identify her. The assumption is she is a relative who accompanied the Pudil family for a better life in America.\f3
